Dr. Camille Walker, DVM

Dr. Camille Walker is an associate veterinarian at West Jefferson Animal Hospital.

She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a dual major in Chemistry and Theater at Muskingum University here in Ohio. Following graduation, she worked at an animal hospital in Maryland as a veterinary assistant while completing an internship at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C., working in the Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpes Virus Lab and volunteering in the Elephant house. She went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM) down in Blacksburg, Virginia, graduating in 2023.

Since graduation, she has been working as a small animal veterinarian in Northern Virginia until her relocation back to Ohio where she joined the West Jefferson Team in 2025.

Dr. Walker has a special interest in public outreach/client education, soft tissue surgery and dentistry, and internal medicine. She is currently focusing on urgent care medicine to help expand services available for the community to offer clients a bridge between primary and emergency care.
Outside of veterinary medicine, she loves all things science, hanging out with her friends and family, gardening, and any outdoor activity – especially those that allow her to bring her dogs along.
