Dr. Dennis Booth, DVM

Dr. Booth was born and raised in Ohio, spending most of his life in Williamsport. He attended school at Westfall School District, Columbus state Community College, then The Ohio State University for a bachelor’s and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine which he graduated with in 2025. He grew up with cats, several breeds of dogs including labradors, Airedales, golden retrievers and the main reason for his desire to get into veterinary medicine – his retired police dog, which is his favorite breed: German Shepherds. He started shadowing at West Jefferson Animal Hospital in 2016 and has stayed a part of the team ever since. In his formal education years, he also spent time working and studying horses, cattle, pigs and chickens.

Ever since he was young enough to talk, he had the desire to be a veterinarian due to his love of animals and eventually his desire to be able to give back and educate his community. This was cemented when his German Shepherd passed away early in life from a preventable condition causing Dr. Booth to have a stronger desire to help animals from suffering preventable diseases. He loves talking to and educating clients to help animals and their humans live better and healthier lives. He has a passion for feline and internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, nutrition and preventative medicine.

Outside of work Dr. Booth enjoys spending time playing D&D, card games such as Magic the Gathering, console video games and reading fantasy novels.
