Dr. Lizzie Rieck, DVM

Dr. Lizzie Rieck is an associate veterinarian at West Jefferson Animal Hospital. She grew up in Salisbury, Maryland where her family always contained a few four-legged members. She completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at University of Richmond in Virginia. Upon graduation, she moved to Ohio and began working in the veterinary field, with an initial focus on shelter medicine motivated by the goal to provide compassion, care and love to all animals. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Ohio State University in 2017. Since graduation, she has been working as a small animal veterinarian and joined the team at West Jefferson Animal Hospital in 2019. She is an active member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

While Dr. Lizzie enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a particular passion for feline medicine, internal medicine, dermatology and behavior. When not working, Dr. Lizzie tries to spend as much time as possible with her family, including two mischievous cats. She enjoys staying active and cheering on her favorite sports teams from the Ohio State Buckeyes to the Green Bay Packers.
