Dr. Dermot Hutchinson is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association (WAVMA).

Dr. Hutchinson focuses on cardiology, preventative medicine, and dermatology, finding great satisfaction in these areas. He is also skilled in surgery, offering a comprehensive range of surgical procedures.

About Dr. Hutchinson

Hailing from Marysville, Ohio, and having attended school in Plain City, Dr. Hutchinson has strong roots in the local community.

His journey into veterinary medicine was influenced by a childhood surrounded by various animals, including horses, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and aquariums. Originally aspiring to be a marine biologist, Dr. Hutchinson’s experience as a pediatric cancer survivor (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) prompted a shift towards a career in medicine. This desire to give back, combined with his love for animals and passion for science, led him to pursue a path in veterinary medicine. Dr. Hutchinson brings a well-rounded approach to general veterinary practice.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hutchinson enjoys spending his free time snowboarding, watching movies, playing video games (on Xbox), and tinkering with electronics. His family includes his soon-to-be wife, Renna, a cat named Zorro, and a small saltwater aquarium.
